Mission:
Chicago House provides permanent, community-based housing, supportive services, and prevention outreach to individuals and families struggling with HIV and AIDS. Many come to us with the added burdens of poverty, homelessness, few if any job skills, substance abuse and mental illness, and gender nonconformity. Through our housing, prevention and medication adherence programs, and case management and employment program, Chicago House enables them to return to a life of dignity and hope.
Specific Needs:
Chicago House is always in need of housewares, appliances, bedding, furniture, non perishable food items, clothing, and office supplies and equipment to operate our offices as well as to distribute out to the over 1,400 men, women, and children who utilize our housing and supportive services each year.
