Big Thought -- Making imagination a part of everyday learning

Issue Area: Arts, Culture, Humanities , Education , Public Benefit
Non-profit Status: 501(c)3
Mission:
Founded in 1987, Dallas-based Big Thought is one of the nation’s leading nonprofits focused on building partnerships that allow all children access to quality learning opportunities. Driven by our mission — to make imagination a part of everyday learning — we do our work so that children have opportunities to become imaginative, adaptable and productive adults, resulting in stronger communities and a more capable future workforce. We do this because we believe that every child and family should be immersed in opportunities to imagine, create and succeed.
Specific Needs:
For more than 25 years, Big Thought has developed and implemented quality creative education programming. Big Thought partners with Dallas ISD, the City of Dallas, and more than 100 arts, cultural, educational, youth development, and social service organizations to offer free and low-cost programs for children and families throughout Dallas.
